The on-site Network Administrator shall have a minimum of 6 years of documented operational network administration experience demonstrating technical understanding of Cisco and Juniper networking technologies (including, CISCO Unified Call Manager, CISCO Internetwork Operating System 12+, Junos Operating System, and Junos Space), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Routing Protocols. Network Engineering experience preferred.
The on-site Network Administrator shall be responsible for cutover of equipment identified by the government. The government will provide available records needed for the contractor to perform these services. The on-site administrator shall also assist designated personnel with the installation of new equipment/circuits.
The government will provide available equipment, circuit records, information related to the subsequent cutover of equipment, and circuits following installation. Prior to cutover, the on-site Network Administrator shall assist government personnel with the installation of new equipment and circuits. The government will provide the required equipment and parts.
The on-site Network Engineer shall provide government personnel technical training on the Cisco and Juniper network equipment such as troubleshooting, use of applicable test equipment, and maintenance of equipment when required. The Network Administrator shall assist the Network Engineer with training.
The on-site Network Administrator shall assist government personnel in performing maintenance, to include, but not limited to, the installation of new software,
software releases, software updates, software patches, software fixes and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) configuration standards.
The candidate shall develop and maintain documentation for inclusion in continuity
manuals of services performed under this PWS and shall assist government personnel in developing technical solutions and material listings, and review and update building designs in support of any new construction projects.
The candidate shall assist government personnel with planning and executing short- and long-term network requirements to ensure compliance with DISA STIGS, AF policy, and manufacturer recommendations.
Clearance requirement: Secret
Required certifications:
· Possess & maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (formerly Routing and Switching) certification with the ability to obtain a CCNP within 180 days.
· Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher within 90 days
· Must possess qualifications/certifications compliant with the DoD 8140.01
Skills Needed:
· OSPF & BGP Routing Protocols
· Recent (within the past four years) experience in planning, preparing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting equipment/circuits transitioned to a Juniper infrastructure
· Must demonstrate the ability to work with the Forescout platform
· Must demonstrate advanced knowledge for using/maintaining the Junos Space platform.
· Must possess the ability to work on classified networks
