The candidate shall have Windows Enterprise System Administrator experience and be able to Install, configure and maintain Windows services including; domain controllers, user accounts, permissions, e-mail, anti- virus, spam filter, terminal server, file and printer servers.
The candidate shall plan System Center Configuration Manager hierarchy and site system roles. Preinstallation requirements, examining the current computing environment, CAS, primary and secondary sites, branch cache, designing and recommending System Center Configuration Manager server architecture, extending the Active Directory schema (DNS service records, WINS), managed providers, discovery methods, and planning migration. System Center 2012 Configuration Manager must prepare for both backup and recovery operations to avoid loss of critical data.
Candidates shall also have the ability to setup, upgrade (version change or patches) and configure Microsoft and Linux commercial off- the-shelf workstation and server operating systems and commercial application software. Tasks may include the installation of base operating systems including Microsoft Office products as well as the installation and configuring of server software components. The SA also performs server maintenance and backup.
The SA shall optimize system performance, conduct vulnerability scans and run intrusion
detection software; applies security patches to safeguard the system from intrusion and provide virus detection and removal services IAW AR 25-2 on a weekly basis. Contractors performing scans shall complete the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) online training course prior to performing scans.
