  • Overview

    Collaborates with the Government and commercial
    vendors to design, install, configure and troubleshoot
    communication networks. Evaluates projected network
    usage and assist in developing hardware/software
    solutions. Analyzes network requirements and conduct
    risk analyses. Assists in exercise communication and
    network planning.

    • Provide Performance Management services, such as: trend analysis, predictive modeling and use of other diagnostic tools.
    • Collect network data to develop and report metrics. Provide metrics reports to the network infrastructure personnel IAW local standards monthly, unless another frequency is mandated by the local squadron commander.
    • Provide input to monthly network services outage report that should include network service outages, their duration, number of users impacted, etc.
    • Use local help desk ticket system and associated databases to, enter, document, track, coordinate, route, resolve, and close user ticket issues. The Contractor shall respond within four (4) hours of an incident ticket being assigned to them, during normal business hours. If an incident ticket is assigned with fewer than four hours remaining in the business day, the four-hour window will continue at the start of the next business day.
    • Monitor and respond to Fault Monitoring Management services.
    • Collect network data by monitoring and analysis of network behavior and report such data as requested by the local Squadron
    • Assist the government in the performance of system administration and database configuration control and documentation support for customer support for multiple IT systems.
    • Provide hardware maintenance of multiple systems.
    • Execute technology insertion and system refresh required for multiple systems as determined by the Government.
    • Provide SA for systems, servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and software.
    • Have a thorough understanding of customer's mission needs and be knowledgeable of hardware and software capabilities and limitations supporting that functional system.
    • Perform the responsibilities delegated by the Network Ops Center (NOC)/Network Control Center (NCC) to optimize performance and quality of service.
    • Ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are operational and are available to customers.
    • Work with the NOC/NCC to implement network security policies and procedures.
    • Implement software patches and security fixes as required by the Air Force Network Operation and Security Center (AFNOSC) or program management office.
    • Test and validate the proper operation and configuration with appropriate patches and fixes, as required above, prior to restoring any device to the network.
    • Ensure physical security of DoD Information Network (DoDIN) components.
    • Monitor reports, heads-up messages and system advisory notices.
    • In the event of service outages during normal business hours, the Contractor shall be on site within two (2) hours to restore service outages, excluding GSUs. Concerning GSUs, the Contractor shall be on site as soon as practicable after Government notification of and outage.



    • A Bachelor’s degree 3 years of recent specialized experience; or an Associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience
    • DoD-approved IAT Level II certification
    • DoD Security clearance at the Secret level
    • Ability to obtain TESA approval in a within a reasonable time frame.
