  • Overview

    The Director of Unified Communications, will manage the companies solutions internally as well as managing and growing a UC practice to support our clients. These programs involve the oversight of projects to include the design, deployment, and installation of Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Audio-Video (A/V), Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Wireless Networks, Voice over IP (VoIP), Virtual Desktop Implementations (VDI) and other short term, project based solutions. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to review and validate proposed solutions and will be accountable for the overall management, contract delivery (including subcontractor management) and Client satisfaction while meeting corporate revenue objectives.


    • Manage projects and subcontractors supporting government customers to ensure control over risks, budgets, schedules, scope, and deliverables adhere to approved baseline plans.
    • Serve as the main point-of-contact for multiple projects.
    • Accountable for meeting company contractual agreements between customers and the vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors uses to fulfill these contractual agreements.
    • Coordinate the Installation, configuration, integration and test of videoconferencing, audiovisual equipment (videoconferencing, multimedia, audiovisual, projection systems, displays, cameras, microphones, integrated A/V systems, document cameras, streaming technologies, Video Security Systems, etc.) and collaboration technologies.
    • Manage relationships within customers’ organizations, offer solutions to meet mission needs through a consultative sales support, and generate leads to help new customers.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on the customer market and provide business analyses as a contributor to bids, quotes, sales forecasts, and profit & loss reports.
    • Develop and lead high-performing team that works collaboratively, creatively solves problems, and achieves program objectives.
    • Upgrade and maintain MicroTech’s internal VTC, and A/V project assets.


    • Experience with Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Office, Project Server, SharePoint, etc.)
    • PMI Certified (PMP) preferred
    • 5+years of related experience in project management, order management, sales support or provisioning of network, unified communications, telecommunications, and video-conferencing and A/V technologies.
    • BA or BS degree required
    • VoIP and networking experience a plus
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.
    • Detailed-oriented, self-starter, self-motivated, meticulous, strong follow-up skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
    • CAD and Visio skills are desired
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Solid problem solving and consultative skills in a fast paced environment.
    • Technical certifications with at least one of the following OEM’s:
      • AMX or Crestron
      • Avaya
      • Motorola
      • Cisco
      • Aruba
      • VMWare
