    MicroTech is seeking a talented Human Resources Generalist to join our corporate team in Vienna, VA. You will be developing and executing human resources strategies in support of the overall business plan and direction of the organization. Area of responsibilities include talent management, change management, performance management, benefits management, training and development, employee relations, and compensation.

    Responsibilities

    • Individual will work closely with the HR Director and department staff to plan, organize, and control activities of the department. 
    • Implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the organization’s vision and strategic vision.
    • Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall firm business objectives.
    • Function as a strategic business adviser to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
    • Ability to conduct internal audits for ISO and CMMI certifications.
    • Development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
    • Monitor HRIS effectiveness and make adjustments when necessary.
    • Support HR Director in developing comprehensive benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective for the firm.
    • Provides guidance to staff on Group Health/Life and Disability/FSA Open Enrollment administration; coordinates group health renewal with broker and communicates benefits decisions to employees. Ensures enrollment data reports are built appropriately for mass enrollment initiatives.
    • Partners with executive management to identify organizational development needs and ensures that appropriate training and interventions are delivered to meet these needs.
    • Serves as liaison between MicroTech and its providers/broker; high level coordination and communication.
    • Monitors training activity including the Training Center usage and schedule of events.
    • Provides overall leadership and guidance to HR function by managing career development, compliance initiatives, retention, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits. 
    • Communicates regularly with management about department issues.
    • Assist with 401k programs: Compliance testing, Plan audits, 5500 and Welfare 5500 filing, and Annual reporting notices (SAR). Coordinate educational sessions with broker when needed.
    • Collaborates often with other directors in resolving HR issues and projects that often have company-wide impact.
    • Collaborate with proposal team regarding employee data: certifications, training, clearances, job descriptions, skill set, resume searches, etc.
    • Participates in staffing, HR, and security write ups/reviews as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience.
    • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university.
    • MBA/MA/PHR or SPHR preferred.
    • Travel up to 10% to implement strategic HR initiatives.
    • MS Office
